Hi! I’m Halley! I’m a 31 year old wife and mom of two. I was raised in the greater Seattle area but now live in San Diego with my family, our two dogs and 5 chickens. I am a bit of an extroverted introvert - I love staying home just as much as I love meeting new people and trying new things. My hobbies include thrifting, reading, hiking and camping with my family, trying new breweries and sushi spots, crafting, and traveling whenever possible.
After graduating high school, my mom gifted me a Nikon camera, which I began to explore and learn in college. I organized cheesy photoshoots with my roommates and loved to take landscape photos during hikes.
In early 2017, a neighborhood friend asked me to photograph her wedding. I remember feeling completely unqualified but so excited as I charged her around $300 after she insisted I couldn't do it for free. My passion for capturing love stories quickly grew, and what started as a hobby became my own small photography business.
By spring 2020, I made the leap to pursue photography full-time, leaving behind my healthcare job. Now we’re here, and I’m incredibly grateful to call this my career and to do what I love every day!
My husband is in the military so we move every few years. But that’s okay with us! We embrace the adventure, love traveling, and enjoy making new friends along the way.
Being a military wife has deepened my appreciation for the small, shared moments with loved ones. I’ve learned to treasure every detail and quirk by recognizing how precious and fleeting these times can be
I have a tendency to dive deep and hyper fixate on new hobbies, sometimes leaving them behind as I move on to the next passion. Currently, I’m all about sourdough and baking.
Past obsessions have included embroidery, sewing, brewing kombucha, woodworking, beading, and houseplant collecting. Thankfully, photography has been a constant in my life, or this website would look quite different!
My favorite things include iced coffee, Taco Bell, camping, DIY house projects, my kindle, fresh PNW blackberries, everything showers, window open weather, dogs, margaritas, true crime TV shows, and thrifting.
It's true! We met on TInder back in 2017 and I've never been more grateful for an app in my life!
Cody and I eloped at the courthouse just before the pandemic hit, with plans to celebrate our wedding with a larger event in the summer of 2020. Of course, those plans—and our attempts to reschedule—fell through.
In the end, it turned out perfectly because eloping was truly our style! We took a van trip with our adorable puppy and exchanged vows and rings at Yosemite on our two-year wedding anniversary.
I’m currently pregnant with our second baby, and we’re absolutely thrilled and eagerly awaiting his arrival!
Since becoming a mom, photography has gained even more significance for me. I’ve become even more deeply passionate about helping others capture the precious fleeting moments in their lives because time truly does just go way too damn quickly.
